The Fighting Shame premiere was held on Friday 25th January 2019. The event was hosted at Leeds Art Gallery where tickets were free of charge to anyone who wanted to attend.

After the screening, Abigail Scott Paul, Deputy Director of Advocacy and Public Engagement at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation hosted a Q&A panel with the Director, Sally Ogden and some of the films contributors, Amina Junior, Amina Senior, Christine, Mary & Sarah.
